Collection of information on retail outlets

It was necessary to update the data on time windows, to determine the exact geo-coordinates of the pick-up points and the volume of unloading at each of them. Based on these data, the transportation that could be involved in the delivery was selected.

Supply chain redesign

We calculated potential orders from customers across the country based not on the location of distribution centers, but just at random. We got a change in the type of transport and added 20 tons, and 10 tons based on the system's calculations of the necessary transport for delivery.

Qualitative changes

  • Changed the routing logic from the point of view of vehicle utilization efficiency. At the moment, the actual vehicle load is as close as possible to its planned weight and size characteristics.
  • Proper bundling allowed us to reduce the number of machines while not reducing the delivery volume.
  • The number of «empty miles» (the distance from the driver's home to the warehouse where he loads and vice versa) has been reduced. Now routes are built with this kilometerage in mind. For example, it may be several loading rounds, where in the last one the driver delivers products to points that may be in the direction of his home.
