Completion of the ARS warehouse automation project
The construction supermarket chain ARS has 11 stores and holds a leading position in the retail market for construction and household goods.
The company’s product range includes about 78,000 active SKUs, and the warehouse area is more than 10,500 square meters of indoor and 20,000 square meters of outdoor space.
Company strives to develop and implement innovations aimed at improving the services provided to meet the needs of customers and visitors.
One of the prerequisites for the implementation of the WMS system was the company’s need for scalable and adaptive warehouse logistics. The company sought to reduce labor costs, speed up warehouse processes, and efficiently use space to optimize and control costs.
ABM WMS implementation in the ARS warehouse helped to solve the following task:
- development and automation of the main processes of warehouse logistics: acceptance, placement, movement, replenishment and selection of goods, partial and full control, shipment, inventory, and container accounting
- fixing and analyzing problem situations in the system (defects/breakage, refusals, overstocks, surpluses)
- increasing the speed of warehouse operations
- development of a centralized tool for warehouse management, resources and analysis of warehouse activities
- reducing the influence of the human factor and dependence on employees who know the assortment
- the ticked task was to provide prompt pickup service from all sites of the warehouse complex within 15 minutes
Based on the experience of implementing the system at various warehouses, we are confident that automation and optimization of warehouse logistics with the help of WMS will allow the business to achieve impressive results.
We wish the company to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity!
And we hope to share the key results of ARS’s work with ABM WMS very soon!
